I would like to start this month by celebrating our people across the business, starting with some fantastic comments received from our customers using our live chat service:

“I would just say what an easy way of contacting you and getting the answers so quickly. Thank you”

“The agent was very helpful and pleasant to talk to”

“Really friendly and helpful adviser, easy and quick answers, thank you”

We always strive to look for new ways to make our customer journey as simple and memorable as possible so a big thank you to our live chat team who always go the extra mile to achieve this.

Next up is a huge congratulations to Jean who is celebrating 25 years’ service this month. Jean’s manager Jon Tibbo said:

“Having worked with Jean for over five years, I know how proud she is to have achieved such an amazing milestone of 25 years” Well done Jean #proudtobepelican

This month we celebrated ‘National Customer Service Week’. It was a chance to recognise the first class service that our team provide every single day to support our customers.

I was so pleased to see the participation and enthusiasm of our team in the activities being run throughout the week and really enjoyed seeing all of their posts across LinkedIn and other social media.

On the final day of ‘National Customer Service Week’ we held a ‘coronation’ for our customer service royalty. It was a chance to celebrate the members of our team who really go above and beyond for our customers. #Proud

This month I also got the chance to spend time with our managers across the business at our ‘Bush Craft Away Day’. It was a fantastic day (even though it was slightly cold!) spent building shelters, making pizza and building fires in Clifton Woods. It was a fantastic opportunity to spend some time team building and learning how we can all work together, to lead and develop our people and our business.

Moving onto Health and Well-being and our expert committee organised the biggest Halloween yet! Every single team across the business put in huge amounts of effort dressing up, running competitions and even getting pied in the face, all in aid for this quarters charity, Dementia UK.

I am so happy to announce that in one day we managed to raise an amazing £252.24!

On the theme of community, the team also got together and celebrated ‘Wear it Pink’ day to support ‘Breast Cancer Now’, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity. Across the business, we managed to raise a massive £124.21 which will go towards vital research into how to prevent, detect and treat breast cancer. #CommunityMatters

I want to finish the month with a thank you to Doro from The West of England MS Therapy Centre who joined our People’s Council this month. Doro spoke to the team about the incredible work they do and how the money you have raised will make such a difference to people’s lives. In total, we managed to raise an outstanding £627.41!

As always, I am extremely proud of the hard work and commitment our team put in to help and our community.
